A: Axe throwing is a target sport like darts, played on a lane similar to bowling. Players aim axes to hit a target from either 12 feet away for hatchet throwing or 15 feet away for big axe throwing. With our interactive projected targets, guests can play numerous games during each session.

A: Absolutely! Every camper receives a quick safety and training orientation, with a camp counselor on hand for extra guidance.

A: Yes, we provide discount pricing for groups over 15 people. Please see our TEAM BUILDING or BIRTHDAYS pages for more information or email us at CampLeader@SlashersOC.com to discuss options.

A: Walk-ins are welcome, subject to lane availability. Online bookings are recommended.

A: All campers must have an axe-throwing ticket to enter. You can order drinks and snacks at the bar during and after your axe throwing session.

A: Reservations can be made for either one-hour or two-hour sessions. We recommend two-hour sessions for large groups. If availability permits, sessions can be increased by 30-minute increments if you would like to stay and play longer.

A: Slashers offers unique games with projected targets. Some of our interactive axe throwing games include Tic-Tac-Toe, Alien Attack, Battle Stations, Bowling, and more!

A: Yes, only axe throwing here, but we offer two types of hatchets and a big axe.

A: Yes, and axe throwing is suitable for wheelchair users, however, assistance may be needed for retrieving axes.

A: Our venue is rated PG-13. Children under 13 may have difficulty throwing axes safely and may find the atmosphere too scary. Guests aged 13-17 are welcome to throw axes with a parent or guardian’s permission.

A: Yes! Each lane is private and can accommodate 2-4 campers.

A: Slashers offers 18 horror-themed lanes.

A: We do not have formal leagues yet, but interested individuals can sign up for future information on our LEAGUES page.

A:  Why just watch? Have fun and throw some axes! Everyone entering, including spectators, is required to purchase a ticket.

A:  Possibly! If interested in working at Slashers, please fill out an application found on our CONTACT page and email it to our Camp Leader.

A: Prices are $40 per person for one hour and $65 per person for two hours.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling your session is free. If you do not know what day you would like to reschedule, we can make you a custom credit code to be used at your convenience, free of charge. Credit codes never expire, but our ticket prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Campers must call (714) 323-0126 to reschedule. There is a 10% fee if you need to reschedule your session more than once.

Cancellations & Refunds: If you need to cancel your game and would like a refund, there is a 10% processing fee based on your original transaction amount. You can also receive a credit code to use towards a future booking, free of charge. Campers must call (714) 323-0126 to reschedule.

A: Contact us at (714) 323-0126 with an updated headcount. We can start incomplete parties, and the remainder of your party can join when they arrive for the remainder of the session. Anyone who cannot make their scheduled booking can receive a credit code for a future session, free of charge, or a refund with a 10% fee. If you are late for your session, we will try to accommodate you, depending on our availability; however, your session may not be the full hour (depending on how late your group is). Please be aware that refunds are not available for groups who arrive late.

A: Yes, but please inform us as soon as possible to reserve the correct number of targets.

A: Closed-toe shoes are required. If a camper does not come wearing closed-toe shoes, we have some available for rent with the purchase of our camp socks ($3 + tax).

A: Training takes 5-10 minutes, depending on experience level. Your session time will start once orientation is complete.

A: We prioritize safety above all. Our setup includes single target lanes with metal fencing, no-bounce mats around targets, and traditional wooden-handled axes. Every participant undergoes a brief training session before starting, and continuous supervision is provided.

A: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we have established these rules:

1. Closed-Toe Shoes Requirement: All campers must wear closed-toe shoes.
2. One Thrower at a Time: Only one camper can throw per lane at any given moment.
3. Sequential Throwing: Throw one axe, retrieve it, then proceed with the next throw.
4. Axe Handling: Place axes back in the designated area after your turn.
5. ‍Safety Line: Observers must stay behind the safety line when not throwing.
6. ‍Lane Restrictions: Axes are not to be taken out of their respective lanes.
7. ‍No Food/Drinks in Lanes: Consumables are only allowed in designated areas.
8. ‍Overhand Throws Only: All throws should be overhand, using the dominant hand.
9. ‍No Roughhousing: Safety comes first, so no horseplay is allowed.
10. ‍Age Limit for Throwers: Children must be at least 13 years old to participate in throwing.
11. ‍Alcohol Consumption: Adult campers with valid ID can have a maximum of three alcoholic beverages while participating.
12. ‍Intoxication Rule: Throwing axes while intoxicated is strictly prohibited.
13. ‍Rule Compliance: Failure to adhere to these rules may result in expulsion without a refund.

A: We have a selection of soft drinks, bottled and draft beer, hard seltzer, hard cider, and special horror-themed drinks. Packaged snacks are also available. You’re welcome to bring in or order food during your session, but we don’t allow outside beverages to enter.

A: You are welcome to bring your food or snacks, but no outside beverages.

A: No, we do not provide any eating utensils. The group’s responsible for bringing their own if they are planning to bring outside food.
