40 Spooky Holidays in 2026

You don’t have to wait until Halloween; there are spooky holidays to celebrate all year long! Slashers is a year-round horror-themed Axe Throwing Bar, so we know about all the important horror holidays. From national holidays to iconic dates from Horror Movies, we made a list of over 40 spooky holidays, so you will have something to celebrate every month!

  • February 13th- Friday the 13th: 2026 has THREE Friday the 13ths to celebrate this year! Originally a superstitious day of bad luck, the horror movie franchise Friday the 13th (1980) gave this date a new fan base.
  • February 14th- Valentine’s Day: Watch My Bloody Valentine (1981) or Heart Eyes (2025), two Valentine’s Day Slashers!

MARCH

  • March 8th- International Women’s Day: Celebrate the Final Girl and/or Scream Queen in your life because horror movies have shown you don’t want to be on a woman’s bad side.
  • March 10th- National Vampire Day: Become a creature of the night and celebrate by watching The Lost Boys (1987), Sinners (2025), or What We Do In The Shadows (2014).

OCTOBER

  • October 11th- Myths and Legends Day: Scary stories have been told around a campfire for centuries. Celebrate this day by going out into the forest and telling your friends your favorite spooky legend. Not fond of camping? Stay home and watch The Blair Witch Project (1999). Afterwards, you’ll probably never want to go into the woods again.
