The Axorcists: Season 1 League Recap
Our very first league season officially came to a close—and what a season it was.
After putting it to a vote, our campers crowned this season The Axorcists… and they absolutely lived up to the name.
Over five weeks, league members battled it out in four one-on-one matchups each night, totaling 20 games per player. Weekly averages kept everyone on their toes, tracking rankings and progress as skills sharpened and competition heated up.
By Week 6, it was time for the final showdown: a double-elimination tournament seeded by each player’s season average. The stakes were high in this all-or-nothing match to find out who would be The Axorcists’ sole survivor.
And let’s just say… there were some serious main-character moments.
Scott delivered one of the most unforgettable performances of the season, throwing a perfect 60-point game in his third match. Meanwhile, one of the biggest plot twists came when Doug (ranked #3) faced off against Freddy (ranked #18) in a nail-biting match that ended in a 44–44 tie. The game came down to a kill-shot tiebreaker… and Freddy nailed it.
The drama didn’t stop there. In the semi-finals, we had a showdown for the ages: husband vs. wife. Jared (ranked #13) took on Shana (ranked #7), but Shana came in swinging and dominated with an impressive score of 51.
When the dust settled, it all came down to Andreau (ranked #2) vs. Scott (ranked #1) in the final. In an incredible run, Andreau fought through the bracket undefeated to claim the championship title.
